The People, Culture, and Food
The laidback attitude and sunshine definitely makes San Francisco one of my go-to places. If you are there, I highly recommend:
* Golden Gate Bridge
* Embarcadero - cool shops and sightseeing
* Eating local - great fresh ingredients
* Ghirardelli Square - who doesn't love chocolate?
The People, Fun Times, and Music!
There isn't a shortage of friendly faces in Austin. Probably the most friendly people I've met in my travels. Super helpful to tourists also.
* Live music - I love live music. Great local bands play nightly.
* Barbecue - can you say yummy?
* Fantastic art scene - plenty of museums and art spaces
Boos, Booze, and Sports!
Sports fans will definitely love the vibe here. There are sports bars for days. In and around Fenway contains some cool places and energetic people. In addition to the sports and great bars, not bad eye candy either!
* Fenway park - baseball mecca folks
* Harvard Square - feel uber-collegiate for a day
* Quincy Market - one of my favorites. Good shopping and food
* Boston Aquarium
